As a part-time or full-time salaried employee you will receive nine paid holidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day (third Monday in January)
  • Memorial Day (last Monday in May)
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day (first Monday in September)
  • Veterans Day (November 11)
  • Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November)
  • Friday after Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

We observe Saturday holidays the Friday before, and Sunday holidays the Monday after. Depending on the pay plan of your position, if you must work on one of these holidays, you may receive special pay or credit for working. For more information contact your agency HR office.

In addition to the officially observed holidays, you also receive one personal paid holiday each year when you are hired and every year thereafter on July 1. This holiday must be used on or before June 30 of the following year, or you will lose it.
